About our Organization

This partnership exists to address the challenges impacting this area while maintaining balance between working landscapes and nature with respect for private property rights and all who live, work and play here.

Mission

Working together to promote a healthy, productive, and beautiful Little Sioux River Watershed.

Partners

The groups partnering in this effort include private landowners, local county and municipal governments, state and federal agencies, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations promoting conservation, outdoor recreation and cultural affairs. 

Vision

This valley will be a blend of protected and private working lands managed for sustainable agriculture while promoting and protecting wildlife habitat, water quality, natural floodplain and grassland ecosystems and the rich cultural heritage of the area.

Conservation

Partners will work to find and develop opportunities for the protection, enhancement, and enjoyment of this unique valley for generations yet to come. 

Conservation Projects include: red cedar tree removal, prairie reconstruction and restoration, prescribed fire, restoring wetlands, shallow water lake restorations, and many more.
